A true collectors item!

This sculpture is done in the artist's unique cartoon styling.  The blue Bugatti Type 35B is speeding along with tires stretched in motion and wind, exhaust and dirt blowing from under the tires. Made with terracotta clay body, was kiln fired 3 times and painted with glaze or paints. The chrome accents are 14K white gold fired in the last kiln firing.  The classic car is attached to a hand-painted base.

Bugatti enjoyed great success in early Grand Prix motor racing: in 1929 a privately entered Bugatti won the first ever Monaco Grand Prix. Racing success culminated with driver Jean-Pierre Wimille winning the 24 hours of Le Mans twice (in 1937 with Robert Benoist and 1939 with Pierre Veyron).

The Bugatti Type 35B measures 12 inches long, 4 inches high and 9 inches wide.
Signed by artist Craig Booth.
