ERWIN GOLDSCHMIDT 1950
Erwin Goldschmidt in his red Cadillac-Allard races down Franklin Street on his way to winning the 15 lap 1950 Watkins Glen Grand Prix. This was the first year that wet pavement and clay proved a factor in the races. Goldschmidt also finished second in the 15 lap Seneca Cup, which Phil Walters won aboard a Cadillac- powered Healey Silverstone. Painted by artist, Robert Gillespie.
